Regardless if you purchase a INFOOT USB High Type, Standard Type or 3D Head Scanner bundle at BFTS you will receive a fully operational hard and software package.

The package will include:

• Foot stages set*
  to level the construction height of the scanning system.

  to easily stepping into the scanning system, stabilize and get out.
• A Foot Cover set*
  to cover the scanning volume while scanning operation
• A software Hard Lock
  including your purchased software licenses
• The Scanning system software suite
  to operate, test your scanning system on a daily basis as well as to adjust the system configurations
• A file Converter software license
  to export your scan data to common CAD formats such as STL, DXF, VRML, CSV etc.
• Software and operation manuals and videos
• A small set of ten anatomical landmark stripes.

As options we offer rugged carry cases, additional software components, anatomical landmark sets etc.

We strongly recommend a training prior to initial system operation. We understand our training as the driver’s license for our scanning system. The two days training focuses on the daily operation, hardware testing, hardware calibration, and trouble shooting. All contents are selected based on our long-lasting scanning system experience. The target of the operational training is to enable new users to operate, understand, adjust and troubleshot all scanning system belongings.

Focusing on the security of your clients/operators and a barrier-free start-up all our scanning systems are only equipped with Class 1M Laser Projectors.

You can install the purchased software as many times as you like. Keep in mind that all software products are protected by one registered hard lock. If you want to change your workplace or PC you simply need to transfer the software Hard Lock to the other PC.

Unfortunately, you will have to purchase a new Hard Lock and your software licenses again. Thus, keep an eye on your Hard Lock!

Anyway, we will offer massively discounted Hard Locks and software licenses to all of our registered customers.

Yes, in general we recommend cleaning the interior of an INFOOT scanning system minimum once per month. Supplementary we believe that after each customers feet are scanned all surfaces should be cleaned carefully for hygiene reasons.

For those who e.g. use an INFOOT system to scan orthopaedic and or industrial lasts we recommend to watch out for dust in the scanning volume. Compare a 3D scanner with a normal copier. Here, too, every hair or grain of dust is displayed on the copy.

In general, a clean scan volume is the basis for a good scan result.

For those who use a one of our 3D Head Scanners we also recommend to carefully vacuum the scanner head frequently to avoid dust deposits on camera lenses or laser projector lenses.

This question is difficult to answer as it depends on the individual age of the device, the frequency of use and the type and frequency of transports.

Users who have experienced our system training are generally in a position to identify hardware related issues independently and, if necessary, to ask for our support.

In general, we recommend a professional maintenance every two years.

However, if you regularly clean your system and use it in clean environments without transportation, this does not necessarily apply.

Anyway, whenever you feel that you have a problem with your scanning system, please send us a support request. First, we will try to analyse the scanning system status using our remote maintenance software. This helps us to understand the given situation and, if possible, to correct smaller software related failures directly. Otherwise will schedule upcoming maintenance steps with you.

Basically, we carry out all maintenance work in our own workshop. On special request and upon cost assumption by our customers, we are also happy to join you on site.

The life cycle of the installed laser projectors varies greatly depending on the frequency of use, system age, methods and numbers of transports and the scanning system maintenance status.

Based on our experience, we estimate the average life cycle between 5 and 6 years.

In this case you have to purchase a second software license for the corresponding software and a second hard lock.

Our existing customers generally receive significant discounts on all second software licenses and the hard lock.
